Münter Design & Build is hiring experienced carpenters, apprentices and skilled construction labourers for full-time, year-round custom residential work in Fernie and Cranbrook.

We need capable people quickly and are prepared to pay at the top of the market for proven experience, leadership and reliability.

Lead Carpenter / Site Lead | $50–$60/hour

For an experienced carpenter who can confidently run a small crew or a major portion of a custom-home project. You must be able to read plans, complete layout, organize daily work, coordinate materials, identify problems early and maintain a high standard of workmanship. The upper end of the range is reserved for someone who can take genuine responsibility for site execution while remaining hands-on.

Journeyman Carpenter | $42–$52/hour

For an experienced residential carpenter who can work independently from construction drawings and complete accurate framing, structural, exterior and general carpentry work. Red Seal certification is preferred, but proven equivalent experience will be considered.

Apprentice Carpenter | $30–$40/hour

For registered apprentices with residential construction experience who want steady work, strong training and opportunities to advance.

Skilled Construction Labourer | $27–$34/hour

Experience is an asset, but reliability, work ethic and mechanical ability matter. This is a good opportunity for someone serious about progressing into carpentry.

Applicants should be reliable, organized and take pride in accurate, clean work. A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are strongly preferred. Compensation will be based on what you can competently take responsibility for, not simply years in the trade.
